Dynamic Range

(Redirected from AV Dynamic Range)
Measured in decibels, this is more or less the range between the softest detectable sound and a sound so loud it completely overloads the system. In other words, at lower volume, you can't hear anything, and at higher volume it all sounds the same because the maximum threshold has already been reached and the system is overloaded. For humans, this range is about 130dB.[1]
