Allito and I

Wow... I actually feel really good. I'm usually on the side of the fence form Allito--though I appreciate his narrow interpretations.

BUT he was the one justice to dissent in the recent animal snuff video case, finding that it was reprehensible and that Congress has the power, within the terms of interstate commerce, to regulate pointless and cruel, albeit "pure" speech. (Though the idea that when it comes to killing things for pleasure such can be "pure speech" baffles and mystifies me, but that's the court's take.)

So, with Allito, who is conservative in all things but his love of cats, I proudly stand.

I'm actually quite moved to find common ground.
