Arrogant Bastartd Ale

This beer makes some pretty incredible claims: It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. The website makes you assert you are worthy before accessing the site. The beer emis/em pretty good with a nice firm hop and bold accents but it's certainly far from the most challenging beer I've had. Golden Monkey has a more complex flavor profile. Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA is bolder. Arrogant Bastard may be more than the average Bud Light drinker whom the verbiage seems aimed at can handle, but the beer shouldn't present any problems for even a moderately serious drinker.

It's a good beer but I for one didn't find it to be very special. A lot of good, crisp hop flavor, but not a whole lot else going on. This isn't necessarily bad, I like clear flavor profiles. Perhaps I would have been way more positive if I hadn't been set up to expect something more. Something more like Avery Brewing Company's Mephistopheles' Stout. This is a beer to be proud of, but not one to justify arrogance.
