A series of stories cataloging the ascension of humanity in and across the multiverse.

I may get round to writing these books someday (or working with someone to write them^{[notes 1]}), and if that comes to pass, these will all be spoilers. On the other hand, it might very well never workout and even if it did, it'd have been cool to be "in the know" from the beginning, so I wouldn't let the spoiler aspect worry you too much.

Provisional high, high level breakdown of story arc.

1. Dawn of Souls : An assassin seeks redemption penning his book, "Life of an Assassin" while interned for life.
2. Prophet of Souls : A young man inspired by "Life of an Assassin" begins founds The Trans-Human Foundation (THC)^{[notes 2]} and becomes the first prophet recorded in the era of objective history.
3. The Quickening of Souls : A retelling of the first two stories from the perspective of the future society that was responsible for the revelations and subtle alterations of history. Not sure exactly what direction to take this one.
4. Field of Souls : For 40 years it has been possible--at great expense--to reach back through time and copy a human consciousness. At first so rare, it was essentially ignored, the possibility of a technological re-incarnation sparks the First Crisis of Conscious^{[notes 3]}, a largely rational contest where both sides strive to control the violent fringe elements on their own sides. We follow the stories of a reincarnated soul, a First Timer, and a Theist.
5. Revelation of Souls : Up to this point, there was interference and some prophecy but revelation of the Ascension Cycle was more or less universally conceived of as a bad thing. "Struggle is good for the soul" is the general maxim on the point. At some point, the technology becomes widely accessible and this is the story of the first recorded instance in a certain prime time line^{[notes 4]} of broad revelation.

4. ↑ The prime time line is a technical term meaning the relative time line as viewed from a certain perspective. I can speak of "my prime time line", "your prime time line" as more or less exact--if inaccessible--things. "Our time line" is a theoretical construct making use of an inferred or imagined (depending on your bent) viewer. It's a very Descartian view of the multiverse.
