Prerequisites

This is written to a standard ymake Apache+PHP+(MySql | Postgres) on Linux (TODO: provide references) setup. In-so-far as your setup varies, you'll have to figure out the differences. This document was originally developed against MediaWiki 1.9.3, but also used with 1.15.1.

Version Notes

1.5 appears to be a bit of a breaking point wherein a number of key features and configurations were added and/or changed. The MediaWiki people maintain an excellent history. One can also grab older versions there.

Compared to many projects, MediWiki has recently moved very fast, constantly creating new semi-major versions.
