Dungeon Architect

A Desktop Tower Defense inspired game in which the player has been hired to design a dungeon to protect the treasure from adventurers. DTD combined the defense units with the path creation. Here, path creation would be separate. Defense units would be monsters and mercenaries. I could see this as station Lich Lord here, buying monster generators, or shaping the probability of encounters. You could use either of the three, or combine any or all of them. Traps, spells, and other effects (foul air) offer further possibilities.

The adventurers would be of various types, but unlike the classic DTD would occur in mixed groups. This doesn't seem to translate clearly to a multi-player because the adventurers can turn their mix on a dime while the dungeon starts each round from the end of the previous. Even so, it would be interesting to allow the computer to slowly learn and adapt to the defenses of the dungeon, perhaps investing in units whose job is to go back and report.

Actually, that could make it an interesting multiplayer game: just make it a game of partial information. The adventurer has to invest in information.
