Five Deadly Venoms
From Zanecorpwiki
If you have even the slightest interest in Classic Hong Kong Cinema or martial arts films in general, this is one to get.
Summary
Overall, this is the best of classic Hong Kong Cinema. Considered a cult classic in it's own right, the Five Deadly Venoms is oft quoted by Wu Tang and one of the few films of the genre with real pop recognizability. Like any Hong Kong film in the classic style, the action sequences are going to be a bit staged, a little jerky, and a bit slow for many modern viewers, but they are still among the best examples of a particular tradition of action choreography that, for me, defines the Classic Hong Kong Cinema genre.
The movie is just a little better at many elements than others of the genre, and is just plain fun. Plus, everyone loves the multiple styles device, and this movie is one of the classics best in that regard. It's just a fun film.
Details and Notes
To be honest, it's been awhile since I saw the film, I need to watch again.
