Meh. I'd like to know the story behind iKnowing/i (DVD, BluRay), but the movie itself isn't really worth the time.

Summary

I never thought this was going to be a great movie, but I did think I was going to like it right up till the very end. There's lots of good stuff about the movie, but unfortunately, the script isn't one of them. The only interesting thing about the movie is that it's almost tuned to make everyone dislike it.

Personally, I'm rarely a fan of the Deus ex Machina endings, and this is a particularly flat one. It's supposed to be a message of hope, but the problem is the narrative is just so mixed up. Alien angels? WTF? Religious folk would find it offensive. The quasi-religious reference is sure to turn off the science minded. And the fact that we have to be saved by some external force kills it for the humanists.

Really, it's the worst of all worlds.

Which is to bad because until that point, the movie was moving along pretty well. Dark, mysterious, no big problems with the acting or directing. Oh well.
