Needs placement.
A dumping ground for image manipulation and some website design links I want to follow up on.
Image Only
- antique playing card effect; looks pretty easy and straightforward
- grungy typographic poster; relatively quick and straigthforword
- old world compass; uses mostly free images and some aging effects to create a nice final product; I can use something like this for HCR
- dark photo grunge effect
- create a crazy movie poster using a half dozen free images, creates a really nice Pirates of the Caribbean-esque movie poster
- create a grungy floating island; looks like the cover to a modern children's book; pretty cool
- creating a distressed effect; uses a cliche image and the tutorial is a linked PDF so haven't evaluated it yet
- ragged edge photo effect; relies on image from istockphoto
- neo-retro urban look; clean funky
- big brother grunge
- another floating bit with sunburst; this time with an urban background
- old style safari map; may also be useful for HCR
- grunge box
- making old paper
- burnt parchment
- quickly grunge a photo; uses filters and color tweaks to add a little edge to whatever
- sweet Daguerreotype effect
- typographic concept poster; distressed effects, textures and shading
- interesting mix of manual tracing plus image manipulation to achieve distressed hand drawing
- busy grunge a photo
- grunge typography head shot
- busy curlicues, lighting, against simple foreground graphic
- clean grunge 2.0 logo
- grungy business cards; I could see doing something like this for Liquid Labs

Websites
- creating a cartoon grunge website; actually, makes one huge image map. A good webby could break some of the elements up into something reasonable, though.
- modern vector come grunge layout; cool, but relies a lot on bits from the Photoshop design pack
- friendly grunge website; very complete description of index page development
