Prepping Wood

All wood should be prepped prior to working. The first step in prepping is to simply place the wood someplace dry. Ideally, this would be in the same place where the finished work will reside. The idea is to give the wood a chance to dry and allow any dramatic distortions that the wood may want to take on to come out before the material gets incorporated into work.

Boards should be placed on a flat surface, ideally with decent weight spread over the top of the board in order to keep it flat. It's okay to stack boards.
