Swapping Colors
From Zanecorpwiki
Swapping colors in the Gimp is so easy, I feel silly writing a note on it, but it took me awhile to find the function...
Colors -> Map -> Exchange
Choose the original (along with leeway in each of the RGB channels) and destination color.
Swapping colors brings up a strong case for copious layers. E.g., if you have an anti-aliased border that fades into a background, you'll get transition colors from the border to the background. Changing the border color becomes hard, even with the ability to add fudge into the source color, because what do you do with the transition/anti-aliased colors? Ideally, you want the border and background in their own layers, each a pure color.
