Talk radio is so bad. I flip to it a lot and it's not so much that it's "bad" so much as it's vacuous. Not surprisingly when you've got one guy just talking for a few hours. 15 minutes of Glenn Beck winging about how the airlines lost his luggage.^{[notes 1]}

The biggest problem is that the so many of the big names on the talk radio scene are simple shills. Glenn Beck is a shill for gold, Dave Ramsey is a shill for his own tapes, and most everyone is a shill for their own celebrity. Callers say one thing, then are cut off. It's not that it's bad, it's just that it's boring.

1. ↑ Think it was 2010-01-07 or 6th or so, story about checking his gun which was sent to Canada. Despite the fact that luggage is mis-routed all the time, he thought it was some liberal shenanigans that mis-routed his gun, not because luggage is mis-routed all the time, but because it was a gun.
