The Creeps
From Zanecorpwiki
This is my favorite tower defense game of the set-path variety (as opposed to the open field type) (TODO: link to set-path lexicon) and one of the more fun ones as the different levels, each with a limited number of tower types presents a different kind of challenge. All in all, one of the better tower defense games available for the iPhone.
The Good
Easy to learn with fun graphics and charming sound bytes, it's one of the few tower games where I care how it looks. Lots of different maps, each with a different mix of towers provides more play-ability than the average tower defense.
The game also makes use of super towers which launch a user-controlled sprite with varying abilities. The sprite is guided around the screen by tilting the interface, which adds a little something extra into the mix.
The Bad
Not a lot wrong with this game. It's simple and straightforward--the super-towers are the only real variation from the pack. It's even a set-path game, which makes it simpler yet. Still, the levels are smartly done and show definite polish.
My one gripe with this game is the final level is the only time in any tower defense game I've ever played that just lasts way to long. I've probably got an hour into the level and I'm still no where near the end. Once you figure out the trick for the level, it's just way to easy. So easy it's annoying.
Hopes and Dreams
This is one of the few games I don't really have any ideas for improving. A new version with new maps and towers, but continuing along the same theme is about all I could wish for. Really, they should do that in a separate game, The Creeps II because there's no need to update this one. It does what it sets out to do and does it well.
