Summary
I remembered this movie in a very positive light from my childhood. On re-watching, it was good, but a little boring. It's a kid movie, and not one of the modern layered kind with stuff for adults too. John Clease's bit is really the only part that bridges the age gap for me. He's just so good at comedy.

The scene where Sean Connery fights a minotaur portrayed by a guy wearing a dessicated bull's head is truly disturbing. I mean, the thing is clearly the severed head of a bull and it's kind of gross even without getting into the idea that killing animals, or giving the appearance to do so, is repugnant. Clearly, that wasn't the intent and it's not simple to project morals across time and space, but it's something to note.
