Wave Genre Games

A genre of game (often found in Casual Games in which two players sends out units in waves. Each wave of units meets in the middle and does battle. The goal is select the appropriate mix of units to gain an advantage.

Typically, units have different costs associated with them, as well as different cool-down periods between when they can be sent out. In some games, the waves are sent out in slots (maybe 4-5 slots on the field). In other's, all units meet and fight (effectively one slot).
